The next time you need a picture, for any project at all, look first at LMAC's Image Gallery. This free image resource is unique to Hive and is an extension of the LMAC community. Every image in the library was contributed by someone on Hive. Everyone reading this blog is invited to contribute. Contributors receive intrinsic and extrinsic rewards. Details may be found in this blog by @shaka.
The pictures I offer for #LIL today came from a variety of places, but mostly a park and a local farm museum. I'm not a photographer so this is a challenge for me, but LMAC mentor and coder @quantumg has given me some tips and I tried to use these in preparing the pictures.
Every week I show a picture that didn't make it into the gallery because the quality of the picture is poor. Here is my not-qualified picture this week, which is released into the public domain for anyone who might want to use it:
Fuzzy Llama at a Distance
While I write this, I also am planning a collage. Every week members of the LMAC community are presented a picture by our founder and leader, @shaka. Thank you for coming by! You really have to see what people are doing in LMAC. We have a lot of artists who have taken collage to a new level. I don't compete in the contest anymore because I'm on the jury, but I'm hooked on making collages.
The photos in this blog are not as nice as many in the image library. I'm learning. I think the idea of a library with free images is great for Hive. It may pull people in from outside the community.

Oh I definitely missed this upgrade (although I am not surprised). I guess congratulations are in order, aren't they?
Maybe at some point we could organise a high-energy physics collage which I could use as a main illustration in one of my blogs (one HIVE cartoonist was providing dedicated illustrations a while ago, which I liked a lot!). Would you (and @shaka I guess) be interested in this?

I'm glad you like my crooked tree. It caught my eye. As for the chickens--I love them. They were clucking at me. I think they wanted food! And the sheep--there were just two of them. I don't know where the rest of the animals were. I love visiting the farm, although it was quite cold. Very quiet and peaceful. I understand this farm (it is actually a museum) was started in 1697. It has been a farm in operation since then. Amazing.
