Would Steemit Have To Comply With COPPA?
Would Steemit have to comply with COPPA? Twitter will be because when I logged on I got a message that their TOS will update Jan 1st which is when the laws go into effect. Since sites cannot collect data from kids under 13. How old do you have to be to join Steemit? I haven't seen the Steemit blog say anything about COPPA so does Steemit not count? Or are they doing what they're suppose to so they aren't in trouble like YT?

COPPA can only be violated if the vendor collects data on their site. That was what got youtube in trouble, was the data mining. IF they data mine, they will be in trouble, if they don't, they have nothing to worry about.
It will be interesting to see how this shakes out!
