Parece que poco a poco las cerveceras empiezan de nuevo a producir alguna referencia más del clásico estilo americano West Coast IPA. Un estilo con un único protagonista, el lúpulo. Y con un sabor por encima del resto, el amargo. Muchas de las cerveceras artesanas españolas , como Garage Beer Co., Cierzo Brewing, Caleya, o la propia Basqueland, han sacado más cervezas de este estilo en este mes que en todo el año pasado. Ojalá sea una tendencia y no solo un momento puntual. Aunque no creo que llegue a superar la ferviente moda por las IPA afrutadas que está arrasando el estilo. Las Hazy IPA y las NEIPA van a seguir siendo los estilos más producidos.
Volviendo a la cerveza, nos encontramos con una cerveza que no viene sola. Se trata de un duelo, El brusco, que hoy os presento, Vs el Suave, que postearé más adelante. Misma receta con diferentes lúpulos. Ideal para comparar lúpulos. ¿Quién ganará?

Estilo: Double West Coast IPA / Imperial IPA

La cerveza ofrece lo que promete. Mucho amargor y sabores a cáscara de naranja, cítricos y pino en una cerveza limpia y cristalina con espuma persistente.
Tremendo aroma que te acompaña hasta el final. Se nota el uso de la levadura California Ale, que deja esa suavidad en la cerveza para que solo brillen los lúpulos.

It seems that little by little breweries are beginning to produce some more references to the classic American style West Coast IPA. A style with a single protagonist, hops. And with a flavor above the rest, the bitter one. Beer delivers what it promises. Lots of bitterness and flavors of orange peel, citrus and pine in a clean, crystalline beer with persistent foam.
Tremendous aroma that accompanies you until the end. You can notice the use of California Ale yeast, which leaves that softness in the beer so that only the hops shine.
