Hacía mucho que no veía esta cervecera por bares de cervezas o tiendas especializadas. Cuando descubrí la cerveza artesana solía verla con frecuencia y me gustaban mucho sus cervezas de corte clásico y precio asequible. Quizá una de las más representativas marcas de Países Bajos juntos a De molen, Uiltje Beer, Oedipus , La Trappe o Ij. Pese a que son buenas cerveceras, la verdad es que tampoco tienen mucha repercusión a nivel europeo. Una pena porque insisto en que sus productos son de bastante calidad.

La verdad es que me sorprendió cuando vi que se había hecho una cerveza West Coast, cuya principal característica es el amargor, con el lúpulo Nectaron, que como su nombre indica, recuerda a las frutas de hueso. El resultado es una cerveza amarga, pero no llega a los mínimos que mi paladar requiere para ser una cerveza de este estilo. En cualquier caso, la cerveza está muy buena. Limpia, cristalina, refrescante, muy aromática y con los sabores cítricos y frutales por encima de los resinosos.
Un placer volver a reencontrarme con esta cervecera.
It has been a long time since I saw this brewery in beer bars or specialty stores. When I discovered craft beer, I used to see it frequently and I really liked its classic, affordable beers. Perhaps one of the most representative brands of the Netherlands together with De molen, Uiltje Beer, Oedipus, La Trappe or Ij. Although they are good breweries, the truth is that they do not have much impact at the European level either. A shame because I insist that their products are of quite high quality.

The truth is that I was surprised when I saw that a West Coast beer had been made, whose main characteristic is bitterness, with Nectaron hops, which, as its name suggests, are reminiscent of stone fruits. The result is a bitter beer, but it does not reach the minimum that my palate requires for a beer of this style. In any case, the beer is very good. Clean, crystalline, refreshing, very aromatic and with citrus and fruit flavors above the resinous ones.
