I Bought Bitcoin(Again)...

in GEMS7 days ago

The first time "I tried" to buy Bitcoin was back in September 2017, and at that time (early September), during the China ban crash, it was valued at $3,000 per unit...

Yeah, it was that low...And I did not manage to buy any because of some "mishandlings" using my bank account for doing that. Ever since, though, I have always owned some sort of cryptocurrencies, and a few months after that I created my Hive account and started earning tokens on a daily basis.

I kind of managed to make a living off of that for a couple of years or so, but that would probably be impossible at the moment due to the severe devaluation of altcoins against the dollar, and BTC...

I am still a crypto believer (mostly BTC), and I have not completely disappeared from Hive. Hence, I felt like sharing with you guys that I bought some BTC today. I got some cash back from the Austrian IRS from the taxes I paid on my income in 2025 and decided to put some of that into BTC.

I only bought something like 0.0034 BTC which was worth 260 euros at the moment of purchase, and hopefully I will be able to buy more in the years to come. The direction of the traditional cash is pretty clear.

We can see it being devalued basically on a yearly basis since covid through all sorts of manufactured crises, and although BTC is more volatile than the dollar or euro, in the long run it's a better option imo. Bitcoin is non-governable money and that will be a vital attribute to appreciate in the future as programmable money will be ushered into our society.

The path is clear and it was pretty much accurately described by quite a few long before the early signs were here. Will I regret buying BTC at $70,000 if it goes as low as $30,000 in the following months or years? No... I will just buy more and HODL.

I don't keep coins on exchanges and never will. I also don't plan on selling the BTC I own any time soon, no matter the valuation. Its purpose, to me, is beyond dollar valuation... So, that was about it from my side for now, after quite a long break from Hive. I hope everyone is fine and catch up with you all next time.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

I don't believe you will regret buying BTC.. keep on stacking

For sure. The only regret I have is not having started DCA earlier... I'm still 39 years old. I have a good two decades ahead to stack some sats for old age.
