One thing I like about the low HIVE price is it shows you who is here for the quick money and who is here for the long term.

Some of us are still on here every day - posting, commenting, powering up, playing games, meeting new people, working on projects. We have a good core group of folks here who show up regardless of where we are in The Cycle.

Long Live HIVE!

One thing I like about Hive price being low is that depending on your perspective, it doesn't really matter that much :)

Crypto is in the toilet right now we're scraping the bottom of a bear market with macro econonics, and heavy threat of all new regulatory uncertainty, obviously contributing to serious selling pressure.

The thing is though, the long term RSI is approaching all new levels of oversold, seller exhaustion has to kick in eventually and the price of chains and tokens with real infrastructure, and a solid following, will snap back like an elastic band! Blood is in the streets right now anyone with the bravery and conviction to keep DCA'ing and more importantly build during these times will undoubtedly come out ahead.

Having been here for all of 5 mins, my opinion isn't worth that much. That being said, Hive price being this low is a super stress test for the chain, and an opportunity to weed out the star gazers and those chasing a fast buck. Every cloud :)

Anybody following the weekly Splinterlands DAO reports, ignore the words and map the numbers, yes $SPS is well down from the Conclave Arcana sale heights but for the past numner of months or so the stabilizers have been well and truely clamped on, the Card market is still ticking over!

Be brave, be bold, the future is bright! Don't focus on the price of Hive, focus on the ecosystem, the price of the token is just a distraction, keep stacking! :)

I don't usually focus much on price, just with all the projects I got going on it'd be nice to have some funding to promote them outside the space at some point rather than having to wait a month to just pay an artist for a little bit of work. xD

Understandable, as much as we would like to deny it, money talks.

Lots of projects at once, wondering how do you find the time, have you given up on sleep? The AI Dev cycle is awesome these days, but it still soaks up time if you want to steer.

Pay an Artist, are we talking website graphics or - Claude Design?

Nah we've been steadfast in keeping our artwork for @holozing human-made and have spent a lot of resources on that, only a little bit left now until most of it is finished and we can focus on other things.

It's been nice to not have to spend on the dev side of things anymore however for that project as well as others. I can finally do what I want myself rather than having to rely on others, paying so much as well as not being sure if you're getting the value back or if you can trust them.

Human made! Kudos man, these days most wouldn't bother, big studios are trimming the fat in this area and many others. Good karma is gonna shine on you, inevitable 😎

Yeah I hear you about the stress test, even as a top20 witness I'm almost on parity of what I pay for servers vs what I make from the witness. :D But I'm sure Hive will be fine!

Haha, none. Okay, well, haha, I really don't know. I guess we can get more Hive for your dollar, so it's a bargain! Also, we’ll get to appreciate it when it goes up, and it will. Most things follow a rhythm, up and down, then up and down. That’s the way it is. If you see the heartbeat ECG, it follows a rhythm, also the sound waves, the ocean, seasons, breathing, even life, and many more. Have a good rest! :)

Sorry didn't mean to vote on myself. Buttered fingers. 😂

I both like and hate this. I would prefer if more people stayed/ joined Hive. But them leaving also means that my posts get less competition so I get more rewards. My gaming posts have been doing really great lately. So now is great time to earn/ buy some HP.

Knowing who's here because of genuine commitment and trust in the network, building for the long term regardless of the market. Those who want to build because they understand Hive's immense potential.

I'm here long-term, I try my best to encourage people, which left hive long time ago to return.

So far 2 of my friends back here and I'm really happy.

@acidyo yesterday we talked about one awesome CS-GO player and guess what? ✨

He powered up his hive once again!!

We had no contact for like 5 years, so definitely it's a great thing!!

So what about hive price?

There is more hive in rewards than, when hive was worth more. I'm just building my stake in bear market, so I see the effects! 💪

Low price means I can get more Hive, like, 4.28 USD and I get 100 Hive ƪ(‾.‾“)┐. Though half of it was used for personal and its really a lot helpful, but the other half half which was sent as HP made me really happy. Thats my goal ever since. I can finally reach 18k HP soon. Then maybe 20k HP is possible this year, maybe, maybe. Although I want to put all in HP but I just get the other half as a reward? Something like that. ( /^ω^)/♪♪

While the price may be discouraging and not favourabe for those who have this platform as their main source of income, I love that being here at this time helps me grow my Hive rewards and HP[Road to 3k🥰].

I believe it was much harder when the price was up and the vote sharing was fierce.

It has also made me connect to creators who genuinely love creating great content. These days, it's easy to find the kind of valuable content I like, unlike before.

Lastly, the price helps me trade less and save more as I can't fathom trading hive consistently at a very low price.

On October 10th of last year, it told us all the future.... Those current prices, we saw them right there on that fateful afternoon of 10/10, and I listened to that, at least for a good part of it that I was able to rotate and protect to take advantage of these lean times 😬😬👍🏻

hehe i made a tweet saying this the other day, I however did not take advantage of it

Hahaha that event was metaphorically speaking like having Biff Tannen's Almanac from Back to the Future in our hands.... I mean, it predicted absolutely everything on that damn 10/10 🤪🤪

Ajjaj ese evento fue como tener el Almanaque de Biff Tannen de volver al futuro en nuestras manos metaforicamente hablando.... Es que predijo todo ese condenado 10/10 🤪🤪

i like that it doesn't bother or matter to me. i still see people posting. i still see people developing. scrobble.life also gives me an excuse to listen to all the stuff i own and want to buy on bandcamp.

Buying opportunity which I acted upon with my stash of HBD stable that I exchanged to Hive and power it up. That translates into better curation rewards which accumulate in such deflated bearish times.

The good thing is that it's easier to accumulate hive with posts and comments, it's a satisfaction to do the claim 😄

The future schadenfreude of saying “You had your chance, we tried to let you in cheap” when HIVE passes $10.

I feel yeah. It's why I like the fact I can do quick reviews on scrooble.life and still feel like I am doing something without having to overthink it. It's just a quick note, as much me journaling about what I'm consuming as anything.

I like the low price of Hive because I was able to buy a lot of it.

The low price of Hive motivates me to keep writing and earning Hive to improve my HP and be able to vote for my favorite users, build a community and keep going, so that when Hive goes up I can proudly say that I stayed and earned enough Hive to keep giving my best.

What I like most is the amount of HP I'm managing to accumulate :)

I like that when Hive price is low witness rewards per block go up :)

Isn't that due to inflation though?

I am not sure, all I noticed was that rewards per block go up when the price of Hive drops and they go down then the price of Hive goes up.

In my case, it's a great opportunity to receive more Hive and HP to grow my account.

Even a single dollar earned, results in good staking, so I am enjoying it as staking is going up. Moreover, by the time, the price settles for something good, I will have good sum to play my role in the ecosystem. That is why I just stake every single penny.

Since months ago I don't pay attention to hive price.

My goal is keep growing and increasing my HP so... nowadays, for me, the price is not important.

I think it takes some stress out of being here. I really don't worry what my posts make and can get on with being social. We need more of that and less chasing the money. I'll be around anyway.

It is than easy to get more and stack HivePower

Supongo que lo único bueno Hasta el momento es la cantidad de HP que se puede acumular de resto es una lucha constante

I don't like anything about Hive price being low, nothing at all. But I'm not sad or worked up about it, though, I just take it like life can be very random sometimes, good projects might not see the support and popularity they require, bad projects can, things can go wrong, etc etc.

Is there nothing you can think of that's good about the price being low?

The only good thing is that people who are currently active can stack more Hive and benefit more in future when the prices ascend again. But then this is not enough to make me forget how fucked up it is that the prices are this low.

What have you done to help the price?

In recent times I haven't done much, but over the years I've made a lot of great write-ups trying to make my blog a huge attraction on the internet (I met someone in a taxi once who told me they knew me, that I'm a blogger, so it was probably working out until I stopped, because it's hard to continue with the kind of engagement available here. These days I mostly post about what I'm doing like gym workouts,etc.). I wrote a novel that got published by Danish publishers Jabopress, its a novel that started here on Hive (the old chain) in 2017 and illustrated by @katharsisdrill. Because we met on Hive and the story began here, in promoting the book internationally we've spoken at length about how it began on a social media platform called Hive, thus promoting Hive.

I was also a big part of the Pob community in 2021 as an official curator, you probably remember how much that community was thriving till some whales fought over some issues and the community went down.

I feel I haven't done much recently, except my posting activities, I guess.

Nothing - To easy to get power and way to hard to bring back up value when people can buy stake at such low prices. probably will never go up again :(

You don't think it will ever go up again?

Long term the trend does seem to be just continuously going down

When the price of HIVE is low, there stay quality content creators on HIVE.

I won't dare say anything about it showing those who came to give or take cause I'm almost not active myself.
But one thing that stands out for me is how much easier it has been building up my very low HP so far 🙃

I like that one of the ideas of web3 exists

One thing I like about hive being so low is that even if the rewards aren't that high I still get a bit of hp.

Update: @acidyo, I paid out 88.479 HIVE and 0.000 HBD to reward 27 comments in this discussion thread.
