Same vibes for this post as was with my Phillies post, I'm definitely in a rush still but, I do want to stay consistent!
Yesterday's game was really heartbreaking. The A's had the sweep in the palms of their hands man! It really felt like destiny that the A's would win this one, but destiny seemed to have other plans apparently!
Everything was going perfectly. J.T. Ginn was seriously dealing. He had a strong six inning outing and allowed just a single run. Shea Langeliers had two homers (his 15th and 16th) including an inside-the-park home run I mean, everything was just going beautifully!
The A's had a 6-1 lead in the seventh, and I started to really relax, and that's when the baseball gods laughed at me! LOL. Joel Kuhnel and Scott Barlow came out of the bullpen and absolutely melted! Kuhnel gave up four runs and Barlow gave up two! Unbelievable! Kuhnel was actually sent to the minors after the game.
Ian Happ and Pete Crow-Armstrong really torched the A's man. Each player homered and they combined for five RBI. Crow-Armstrong had the walk-off single and yeah, just unreal.
The Cubs showed some pride I guess. It is what it is. There's nine innings for a reason!
Tonight the A's are in Houston to face the Astros. The Astros aren't as sharp this season but, they're not out of it completely by any means. Jack Perkins takes the mound for the A's. The A's will face Peter Lambert, of the Astros.
Busy day of sports once again, besides my own project to finish! So much to do!
#GOATHLETICS!!!
