आज बेरोजगारी की समस्या विकसित एवं अल्पविकसित दोनों प्रकार की अर्थव्यवस्थाओं की प्रमुख समस्या बनती जा रही है । भारत जैसी अल्पविकसित अर्थव्यवस्था में तो यह विस्फोटक रूप धारण किये हुये है । भारत में इसका प्रमुख कारण जनसंख्या वृद्धि, पूँजी की कमी आदि है । यह समस्या आधुनिक समय में युवावर्ग के लिये घोर निराशा का कारण बनी हुई है ।
Today, the problem of unemployment is becoming a major problem for both developed and undeveloped economies. In a rudimentary economy like India, this explosive form has been assumed. Its main cause in India is population growth, lack of capital etc. This problem has been a cause of great disappointment for young people in modern times.
एक बेरोजगार व्यक्ति वह् व्यक्ति होता है जो क़ि अपनी योग्यता के अनुसार प्राप्त होने वाली मजदूरी की दर पर कार्य करने को तैयार है,परंतु उसे कार्य नही मिल पाता।व्यक्ति की इस दशा को बेरोजगारी कहते है।
An unemployed person is a person who is willing to work at the rate of wages as per his qualification, but he is not able to get the job. This condition of person is called unemployment.
