If you often visit the south coast of Java, you will soon know a big house on the beach. The dominant white house is owned by a famous painter named Raden Pangestu. Do you know Raden Pangestu? Yes, he is a realism painter who is very well known in Indonesia, even to foreign countries. His works have been recognized by other painters, by Joko Pekik, Hanafi, Blanco, and many more. Since he was twelve years old, Raden's painting talent has been seen. Raden is indeed very rich, his wealth is the result of his painting work as well as the inheritance of his parents. With his ability which is increasingly stable even Raden does not need to bother entering and leaving college to make large amounts of money.

With the age of forty-two years Raden Pangestu has a wife who is very beautiful, even arguably perfect. His wife is still young and indeed beautiful. It's not artificially beautiful like other women who whiten their faces, fill their breasts with silicone, or surgery to stick their nose, no. His wife is really beautiful. Original beautiful! Raden Pangestu indeed upholds a beauty, including the beauty of a woman. His wife's body also remained slim despite having given birth to a child who unfortunately was born as an autistic child.

As a father, Raden Pangestu did not carry out his role well. Even though the material needs of his wife and child are met, his inner living is not greatly cared for by him. His beautiful wife often comes home late at night because of drinking. While his own children often act strangely and rarely sleep every night, making the maid at home very burdened. Everyone in the house was engrossed in his own world, Raden Pangestu with his paintings, his wife with alcohol and the night world, and an autistic child with his strangeness.

As a husband, Raden Pangestu rarely gives rations to his wife. He only tasted it once. And then, he again struggling with his paintings. Raden rarely slept in the same bed with his wife, he preferred to lock himself in his painting studio for days, not caring about guests and telephones, even his own child. The maid is often worried about Raden's situation, afraid that in Raden's studio, why? After completing several paintings with satisfaction, Raden usually comes out of his studio in a messy condition, dirty T-shirt mixed with paint color, blackened eye bags, and a dense, unshavened beard.

One time, Raden got an offer to describe Ratu Kidul from a foreigner who at that time visited his private gallery.

"I will pay you thirty million, Raden. But remember, the realistic beauty of Queen Kidul! "

It seems that Caucasians are indeed lovers of art and culture of this country. To make the painting, Raden Pangestu even hired a model to be the object of his painting. The painting he made looks very real. Wrapped in a dark green cloth, the model's picture is displayed in the painting titled "Ratu Kidul". However, unfortunately the fate of the model. Coming home from Raden's house, carrying quite a lot of wages, at that time heavy rain, his body was hit by a high-speed truck when he was crossing the road. The beautiful model was declared dead on the spot.

"Is he a Roro Kidul painting model? No wonder!"

"How dare Raden paint it."

"You shouldn't, don't mess with the power of Roro Kidul."

Local people who know that he is a model of Roro Kidul's painting said that the model was hit by a curse. Raden Pangestu did not believe in the rumor. He himself only cares about the results of his work. In fact, he will paint Nyi Roro Kidul again for collection in his gallery. So Raden hired a model again, this time not kidding, what he rented was an exotic Israeli model. He wanted to experiment with the figure of the imported South-faced Queen, but still in his trademark green shirt. Raden's paintings this time show Ratu Kidul surrounded by the spirits he leads, namely dedemites, giants, tuyul, genderuwo, and many other types, complete with a background of swelling seawater.

The charm of the painting draws a lot of connoisseurs of painting to his gallery. Finally, the painting sells for sixty million. Raden Wijaya is happy. However, three days later he got word from his friend that the Israeli model had died, murdered by his girlfriend for cheating. The mysticism of Raden's mind began to waver but he quickly ignored. He thought, the death of the models was indeed just a coincidence. Incidentally the first model was not careful to cross and coincidentally the second model had a crazy boyfriend.

Furthermore, Raden Wijaya again painted Ratu Kidul. This time Raden doesn't want to bother paying for the model. He will paint his wife. Raden even had time to think why not from the first? His wife is still very beautiful, although rarely at home. His wife also warmly welcomed Raden's request because her husband would plan to paint it using a very large canvas. But actually, Raden's wife was happy because she finally felt needed.

Predictable what happens next? Yes, his wife died. His wife died of breast cancer which is increasingly malignant. Raden was very surprised, he never even knew his wife had such a disease. Raden also increasingly believe in the curse of the South Kidul. Raden remembered, when he was in junior high school his class was given the task of displaying a drama titled Ratu Pantai Selatan. At that time, the role of Nyi Roro Kidul was his classmate who was famous for being the most beautiful one in the school. The day after the play, one school was in mourning because his friend died of food poisoning in the neighborhood, along with some of his family.

Raden became very confused, painting the Queen who controlled the land of Java seemed to have become opium for him. However, he will not risk sacrificing others anymore. Based on his desire to keep working, Raden was determined to paint Ratu Kidul again. However, this time Raden did not use a model. He painted by relying on full imagination.

After the painting was finished, one month later something happened. No, Raden Pangestu is not dead. Raden has a stroke. And until now Raden could only move his eyes. He even spoke with difficulty. His painting activities stagnated, he was tortured. Of course tortured, everyday he is accustomed to work and suddenly now stagnant, no longer productive. He could not believe it with everything that had happened.

Do you really want to be matched by the Queen of South Segara Kidul?
