Hi,

#rockclassics was brought to live by my friend, @uwelang, one of the top #music lovers on this blockchain.

35 years ago, when I was barely 2 years old, one of the greatest concerts of all time happened, Live Aid. You can find more out on the official youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUAVzSGkkTa-IoMx_x1XK4Q

It was an event played on two different stages, two continents apart, one on the Wembley Stadium in London and one on the JFK Stadium in Philadelphia.

Some of the greatest stars of that age performed and some of them are playing also today:

Some managed to concert, like Cliff Richard and Phil Collins both in London and Philadephia:

Here is Phil's London performance:

And with his ex-Police colleague:

And the US version:

On both sides of the Atlantic, the stars pulled some great moments and a great show. The organizers, Bob Geldof and Midge Ure wanted to gather money for Ethiopia, which was hit by massive hunger at that time. 1,5 billion people donated almost 200 mil USD. The event was a success, at least from a mediatic point of view.

Some band who have been disbanded have reunited to play, like Led Zeppelin or The Who:

One of my favorite bands is Queen and their show was magnificient:

Ohhhh Boy. Thanks for reminding me, Alex.

I think that might have been Freddy Mercury's best performance. He was spectacular..

I remember that I watched on TV it with friends but the sound came through the radio, because that was stereo. But then came the news or the weather report in the middle of a great song... but we had perfected this "radio sound off - TV sound on" manoeuvre in years of broadcasted music shows like Rockpalast.
