My manghud riverside garden

in #gardening5 years ago (edited)

A typical day in the province with my siblings.
Early morning, before the sun comes out. We bring our pail to the riverside garden. We got lesser or no rain so everyday we have to feed the plants to survive in this very hot day.

He planted squash, and string beans. The squash crawls in the ground just fine but the string beans needs to go upward. My tatay got him straight tree branches for the trelis. Using it as poles, he tied a parallel used wires and cross tie it with used plastic straws to make it sturdy for the vines. As for the ampalaya, he got the coconut leaves trim at the ends and make it like a ladder of its vines upward.

The ground is always dry so the afternoon watering is always needed too. We are lucky the stream is running and is very near. Only steps away.
Clips for keeps:

We are hoping the veges will bear healthy fruits soon. Have a good day!
