I'm not aware that this is a world-renowned custom or the veracity of its alleged benefits. What's truth is that couples, especially newlywed brides, have a special interest in going to the sea on their wedding day to get their feet wet.

However, it's true that there are some similar habits in other countries, each according to its history and culture. But as we have it here in Cuba, I have little or no reference about it.

This time the bride chose a spot in the city that's easy to get to, and from which anyone can easily and safely access the sea. It's an area known as "La Puntilla", nothing more than a shallow water area of Havana's coastline. Notice in all photos the typical rocks of the place.

The weather, although quite windy and annoying at times, is the norm we have in the Caribbean in December. A slightly cold winter, cloudy skies and the sea completely rough. Most of these elements came together in a magical way to result in spectacular photos, full of drama and emotions.

It's a great pleasure for me to share this work with this photographic community. Whatever you wish to say, ask questions or just chat in the comments, you are very welcome to do so.
