Let's be honest. Nowadays YouTube is better in general. Maybe this will change in the future.
Reasons for YouTube:
DTube deletes some of the videos over time, but YouTube videos don't get deleted under normal circumstances. You can find even 10+ years old videos on YouTube.
Many authors are doing YouTube for money or even for a living (with hundreds of thousands or even millions of subscribers), and they can earn constantly with their videos. DTube videos are only earning money for 7 days.
There are many good YouTubers, who don't use DTube, and probably they will never use DTube. Mainly because the first two reasons. And if they are earning enough money for a good living (thousands, hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars), they surely/certainly won't leave YouTube.
Reasons for DTube:
The freedom of speech.
Anyone can start earning money. There is no 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours watch time requirement.
YouTube is better at the moment. Both for authors and for viewers.
