3D-printed Drazing!!! - Holozing Fanart

A weekee-greeting to all Hivers!! It's been a while since I last posted on Hive, there are many things which have changed that I eventually will tell you guys about. Many issues regarding the country have also influenced in my life in a way or another, making me and specially my parents take some decisions to be able to get adapted to this harsh situation. Keeping up with my career has been one of these problems due to the fuel crisis and lack of internet signal. My time lately has been distributed between the old and new priorities, one of them being working for holozing of course ;> (there's plenty of new stuff behind the cameras hehe!)

Well, no more yapping, let's get this post on the road >:D!

You may be thinking "No way... another freekin dragons post..."
I know XD these dragons are never tired of getting in the shots... BUT, this post is special ;) hopefully won't let you get bored with this one 'cause it's not just 3D Drazing... it's 3D-PRINTED DRAZING LET'S GOOO!!!

Unfortunately I have to say some boring stuff before getting to "the chicken of the rice with chicken" how we call it here, because I need to give you some context. Last year I decided to invest in a 3D printer, which arrived this march.

I spent the first days building it with the help of my parents and learning what was necessary to get started.

Once settled, the first test I did was the classic Benchy. It's a tradition of 3D-printing users to make a Benchy as a first test.

It came out looking marvelous.

Everything was on its place, now time to get serious. But my mind was empty of ideas about what to make. Weird. Back then when I thought about investing it seemed to be full of great ideas... Bet this happens to many of us. But Drazing hurried and saved me from that void :3

So I took its model and posed it in a cute happy-baby-doggy way in blender.

Then I started separating the pieces, all gray and white,
my printer is mono-color, gotta make one at a time.

Made these holes and spaces for the claws to be glued in later,
this whole belly mouth piece took some time to get separated.

All set, I exported the STLs,
hopefully not missing anything else.

Software welcomed me, anxious to be used,
Imported the files, ready to get fused.

Statistics and settings filled my screen,
Was really excited when clicked the green!

Among others it firmly stood up like a real hero
for 6 continued hours not at all under sub-zero...

Okay, enough technical poetry.
Couldn't wait to finish this creation,
my eyes were not done full of glory
when I took it out the plate,
it was time to contemplate
who came out of my imagination!

Aaand here there are all of the pieces together :3

DSC_0261.JPG

Time to glue and paint! started with the easy part, sticking the claws and the belly to the body.

Something like this will never look like an actual 3D character in real life, but looked great for one of my first prints!

It stopped looking so great when my manual artist skills joined the server...

DSC_0273.JPG

Uhh... guess it looks okay??

DSC_0276.JPG

It looks traumatized.

Hopefully a little white dot lightened its day and MY day up. Looking way better now...
I'm sorry peeps, I'm not this kind of artist, I'm not @mdrguez...

DSC_0278.JPG

But hey it isn't that bad, it looks awesome... IT IS AWESOME YEYEYYE I have an irl holomon in my work desk :3 (my first irl holomon hehe...)

That's cool. I have the same printer and have been very impressed. I am tempted to get an AMS unit, but wonder if I really need it as I mostly make functional items. Have fun!

Great! I don't think the AMS is a necessity like in general, specially for pieces that only need to have a functional purpose rather than a colorful look.
Problem is A1 has only one nozzle. Printing by pieces makes it possible to achieve even better looking results because the colors won't look merged in the final piece, (specially when changing from black to another color). Also the amount of dumped filament is insane! I won't buy an AMS, I rather get a multi-nozzle printer if I manage to make the business grow.
Good luck on yours!!

Yes, the waste is one reason to not do it. I need to get into the design side to work around that.

Pieces by pieces. It doesn't print a whole?
This is cool

Yep, it doesn't have an AMS lite, which is the equipment that allows it to do multicolor prints.
Thanks :D!

Waaaooo!! 👏😍 @anima-shot, spectacular 3D design of the Holozing dragon. Such a unique and painstakingly crafted piece.

I hope to see more from the creature saga — especially the Fire Wolf. Greetings and happy Sunday, champion!! 🤝😉😊🙏

Thank you for your words ❤️✨!!

I LOVE IT! Keep up the 3D printing and the Holozing love.

Check out the 3D printing communities here on Hive too ;)

THANK YOU!! Hey I remember you, months ago you posted a guide to a 3D printed holozing creature. I loved how you explained the way it all worked in your post, it was one of the things that made me consider investing on a 3D printer!! Will check out the communities right away :D really glad to see you here <3

aww hey that means a lot, thank you! Yeah I love 3D printing and Hive so it's a natural fit haha

For just getting a 3D printer you killed it with your Drazing print.

😆🔥
Glad to see your comment here, really!

The Bambu Lab A1 is what I think the printer in the picture is. Which is a GREAT starter printer!

I started with a FlashForge Adventure 5M Pro (which only does 1 color at a time) but I just upgraded and bought a Creality K2 Plus printer with a Multi Color system and I love it. I do NOT regret starting with a simplier printer to get used it it first. So I think you are going down the right path!

The /3DPrinting community isn't that active here on Hive but maybe with you and me we can bring it some life!

Glad to know that, thanks!!

I did check em and have been writing already a post about one failed print that I managed to save! I agree with you, let's bring some life to these communities :D

😍 ¡Me había perdido este post!

😆😆 Volviii!! Cómo estás Amanda :D??

👌 Muy bien. Pronto voy por allá. 😁

You have the complete set now haha. Looks great since the 3d rendering itself looks awesome!

Glad to hear that lots of things are happening in the background. Hope to see it all inside the game one day hehe

Thank youu, happy you liked it :D!
It's been a while solum, how have you been??

I'm fine too. I have been focusing on some real world stuff for a month now so I haven't posted anything lately.

Where can I order 60 creatures?

XD 🗿🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
