Seems like the mentality for many people when it comes to serious moral issues in the world is.. "As long as it's not happening to me, it's not my business". Or.. "I don't care".
Very similar statements in this context, though I think the victims we see and don't see in the world of corrupt politics, illegal wars, and animal agriculture/entertainment etc and other areas as well are all issues that do effect us on some level, even if they don't personally affect some people.. I think in a spiritual sense we are all "one".. So.. All of those victims are us.
I think all of those issues I mentioned effect us spiritually and also monetarily and money can be seen as an extension of our spirit thus the "currency" so when others diminish our flow they are diminishing our spirit as well.
All of those things I listed I think negatively impact us psychologically, if we ignore them it makes us colder human beings and they all act as methods of depleting our power and our ability to easier live free and healthy.
For example, almost every action in politics comes by force at the expense of the tax payers, and taxes themselves sap and drain your economic health.
Next war is one of the most expensive things, if not the most expensive. Imagine how all that money could have been spent to enrich us instead of killing us and torturing us and controlling us? Not to mention the inherent intrinsic value of all the lives lost and what kind of amazing things they could have shared with humanity if they had got to live longer.
And third.. Animal agriculture is way more expensive than eating plants because you first have to feed plants to the livestock and use copious amounts of other resources like water as well. Since it's subsidized by government so much the average person doesn't realize how expensive it is, but.. That $1 burger at McDonalds should cost around $30-50 without subsidies and government intervention and despite the public not seeing these connections, they still exist and deplete the funds of our peoples as a whole since so much money and resources are being wasted to subsidize this industry.
Now.. If you ignore all of those issues because you feel they don't affect you or are not personally happening to you.. Maybe you could reconsider.. Maybe those victims are "you" in a spiritual sense, in another lifetime.. And.. All of those things drain and limit our collective human expression as well.
They do effect you, whether you see it or not. If it wasn't for all those things, we'd probably be exploring outer space together in futuristic space ships as opposed to the corrupt government basically hoarding and compartmentalizing and monopolizing that and keeping us the people largely poor and impoverished here on earth while they go explore.
Things are incredibly messed up in the world, and in order for things to get better in my opinion.. More of you need to care more.. If you're already working hard at this kind of stuff then this message of mine doesn't apply to you, but.. If you are avoiding all these important subjects in the world cause you don't think they effect or affect you, please reconsider.. We desperately need all the help we can get to try to reverse this horrible path we are on as a people/species. <3

In order to achieve this we need to put people with values such as what you mentioned into office, otherwise the ones who have already sold their people out will continue to maintain their grip on power and keep us down any way they can. It's all about money, the governments in place are full of puppets who serve their rich overlords, just follow the money to see who's really in charge, and take money out of politics if you want to see change.
