No es secreto para nadie que estamos atravesando por una situación sumamente difícil debido a la pandemia que estamos presentando, sin embargo tratamos de hacer de nuestros días lo más normal posible dentro de las circunstancias.
It is no secret to anyone that we are going through an extremely difficult situation due to the pandemic that we are experiencing, however we try to make our days as normal as possible under the circumstances.
Como personal de salud perteneciendo al área de enfermería día a día debemos de combatir contra ésta pandemia para así evitar que se siga llevando a las personas que se encuentran a nuestro alrededor como nuestras amistades y familiares.
As health personnel belonging to the nursing area every day we must fight against this pandemic in order to prevent it from continuing to take away the people who are around us such as our friends and family.
Las horas de guardia suelen ser agotadoras en donde debemos entrar de 7:00 am y se supone que deberíamos salir de turno al día siguiente a la misma hora, sin embargo muchas veces nuestro relevo no llega a tiempo y nos toca realizar horas extras porque nuestro deber está en no abandonar jamás a los pacientes.
Guard hours are usually exhausting where we must enter from 7:00 a.m. and we are supposed to leave the shift the next day at the same time, however many times our relief does not arrive on time and we have to work overtime because our The duty is to never abandon the patients.
En una de las últimas guardias que pude realizar en el Luis Gómez López, un hospital de mi ciudad, pude compartir con dos grandes amigos que me enseñaron que a pesar de las adversidades siempre debemos de sonreír porque esto significa vivir.
During one of the last shifts that I was able to carry out at the Luis Gómez López, a hospital in my city, I was able to share with two great friends who taught me that despite adversity we should always smile because this means living.
Siempre tomábamos un tiempo de nuestra guardia para compartir, solíamos llevar gran cantidad de alimentos y comíamos tanto hasta el punto de no querer pararnos más de la cama y quedarnos dormidos, sin embargos el deber nos llamaba.
We always took time from our watch to share, we used to bring a large quantity of food and we ate so much to the point of not wanting to get out of bed and fall asleep, however duty called us.
La hora de la comida era mi parte favorita, pues a pesar de todo el estrés que pudiese haber obtenido debido a la carga laboral por el servicio mis compañeros siempre lograban sacarme más de una sonrisa y esto hacía que valiera todo la pena.
Mealtime was my favorite part, because despite all the stress that I could have gotten due to the workload for the service, my colleagues always managed to get more than one smile from me and this made it all worthwhile.
Gracias a esto pude aprender que sonreír ayuda al alma, te alivia el estrés y te ayuda en tu día a día, luego de pasar el rato con mis compañeros me sentía rejuvenecida y mis pacientes notaban el cambio a pesar de mi cansancio físico, gracias a esto también se lograba dar una mejor atención al paciente.
Thanks to this I was able to learn that smiling helps the soul, relieves stress and helps you in your day to day, after spending time with my colleagues I felt rejuvenated and my patients noticed the change despite my physical fatigue, thanks to this was also achieved by providing better patient care.
Debemos recordar que a pesar de las circunstancias que nos coloque la vida nunca debemos de rendirnos, es bueno caer y tocar fondo ya que ésto nos vuelve más fuertes pero siempre debemos seguir colocándonos de pie, porque de ésto se trata la vida... Subidas y bajadas, sonreír para vivir.
We must remember that despite the circumstances that life places on us, we should never give up, it is good to fall and hit rock bottom since this makes us stronger but we must always keep standing up, because this is what life is about ... and downs, smile to live.
