Long time time... Life's been crazy but yeah, we go on.
All You Can Eat. Why not?!
You see an "eat all you can" restaurant and you'd say, "let's go on in!". Then again, some (or most) eat all you can restaurants coud be pricey.
Luckily, we found this restaurant where we can pig out on Filipino foods at a reasonable price.
Hot Palayok Restaurant
One Saturday, our airconditioning unit at home was not working. I had three kids with me and staying at home was not an option.
Off we went to the World Trade Center (WTC) Mall to wait for daddy @kennyroy and then had this bountiful buffet lunch together.
HOT PALAYOK literally translates to "hot clay pot". It is one of the many Filipino restaurants here in Abu Dhabi. If I am not mistaken, they are among the first who introduced the "all you can eat" set up here in the city.
The interior is nice and cozy. I love the lighting here. In this branch, they also have an exterior seating area which I was not able to take a picture of.
As you enter the restaurant, their long and hefty buffet will greet you.
Whenever here, I devour on their buttered shrimp and rice noodles. I love their beef stew (kare-kare) too.
They also have a counter where you can ask the staff to cook for you:
The appetizers and dumplings are also a hit for me and the kiddos.
The dessert! Oh, boy. I love the halo-halo, a wide range of Filipino desserts and even cakes and ice cream.
Am I weird? Coz I like my buko pandan and halo-halo mixed together.
Oh, I should not forget to mention. When you decide to celebrate your birthday here, get ready to be "serenaded" by their very lively crew.
Apart from food and some real great company, I really believe that the ambience and good customer service all add up to a very enjoyable dining experience. Fortunately, I always have them each time I visit this restaurant.
The cost is also affodrable. It costs AED 49 (exl 5% VAT) on a weekend buffet. That is USD 14 per person. Kids pay half the price.
We keep coming back to this place. It is accessible, parking is not an issue hence you can just truly enjoy the good food and some good laugh with friends and family.
