PREACHING IS NOT ENOUGH

Act 18 vs. 18-23
After spending time in Antioch, Paul went back through Galatia and Phrygia, visiting and strengthening all believers. v23 NLT

Our text today gives us an insight into another area of strength in the ministry of Paul.

Paul travelled from town to town, city to city. He preached Gods word in all the cities and villages he visited. He stayed with them for some time to relate with them and answer their questions as they see him live in their midst.

He returned back to the cities again to visit and strengthen the believers where he has preached Gods word.

All his trips were intentionally planned in such a way that he meets with the believers. This pattern of ministry gave the believers a deep root and the church grew in quality and quantity.

We learnt from Paul today that the people we preach the gospel to need follow up to grow up and be channels of blessing to others.

And from the people Paul preached to, we see in them a desire to have him stay with them more and a sense of responsibility to learn more about Christ.

If we have the time to preach the word of God, we must trust God to create time for follow up.
