I think Trump wants it to be over and Iran knows it, so they are trying to exploit that knowledge...
It is easy to start wars, but could be difficult to end them.
Trump stopped his people from going to the negotiations. He made the big call..... After Iran had already left Pakistan :D

Also it is even harder where the largest military of the world is in fact 'loosing' the war :)
