If you want to make Steemit more fair, CHANGE THE GODDAMN CODE. We've done it 15+ times prior to this, one more time shouldn't be that big of a deal...
For anyone else who feels obligated to participate, DON'T. You can do as you please with your SP.

If they want to do an EXPERIMENT... change the code for X amount of time. Monitor and revert the code if need be.
It must be controlled experiment or it is kind of meaningless.
Prototyping by hand before coding something is always faster and cheaper. Especially with blockchains.
For this, we have to wait for the FABRIC, it will help a lot to increase the code.

Exactly! We already know what the problem is so what is to be gained by the experiment. We already know there is a problem. The solution won't be for whales to not vote indefinitely of course so what is to be gained. Don't get me wrong, I am interested in the results and my voting power has already increased so that is cool to see, but yeah the code is what needs to change.

I would agree with the idea, with a note that it could be expressed without vulgar words. Steemit is still beta, so it is a big laboratory by its nature. Code can be changed, rules can be changed. This way it would not be possible to interpret results correctly. For example: is the latest Steem rally a result of experiment, or something else?
This was a failed experiment from the start for lots of reasons, some of which are listed on my page.
I would appreciate it if you would remove your flag since you are done with this, from my post naming good people on here, trying to be positive and encourage people, which I think is a positive post!!!!

agree. I try to build up the JP community and they get down voted to 1$ .. etc.
My own post which seemed to interest people (I measure how good a post was from the amount of comments I receive) got send to 2$. If we do such an experiment, not only whales votes, but engagement numbers has to be checked too.view,s comments, votes. and how many whales did really vote etc. this experiment was just too quick and will show no data we can build something on

Simply because I havn't been glued to the screen and watching my feed for the last week or so, I've got no idea what the experiment is all about. (What are the new users thinking?)
But if we are to have an experiment, then it would seem best for it to be a code change, not simply yet another guild effort with little over/insight and the usual claims of foul play that have accompanied them in the past.
Is there not a testnet to run the code on?

I've had 359 upvotes from the community, and 90 comments, not a single whale upvote, and no trails ever vote me.
It was a positive message encouraging others to power up their steem, and avoid these idiotic flagging wars.
An attempt to try and bring a little positivity in the middle of the mess created by the experiment and I got flagged into oblivion for it.

Well thanks for the explanation at least, but it wasn't a circle jerk post, now I'm wondering if you bothered to read it before flagging.
It was explaining the (at the time declining price) as mostly a result of people in the USA locking in their losses for tax purposes, and encouraging people to keep a positive attitude despite the negativity.
5 things people can do to make this place better including upvoting things they like instead of flagging things they don't like. Then you flag it at 100% and of course so do your followers who are on autopilot I guess. And my post gets pummeled.
