This Christmas, my boys were adamant about making presents for everyone, and given the recent work done on STEEMbots they decided to print and paint various part combinations that reminded them of the family member.
Spencer Bot
Seamus chose a very spidery looking robot for his Uncle Spencer. He was very careful with the painting and did a great job. The bot also printed quite well and its was the first print that we had to consider its legs in the print. We ended up having to print the bot at a 45 degree angle. This lead to an extremely clean print,
Sam Bot
Liam created a faster looking bot for his Uncle Sam with a multi wheeled base and cool visor he wanted I had hoped he would spend a bit more time with the paint job, but all and all it came out rather well.
Ornaments
After printing these two larger version and the handful of golden smaller bots, our heated bed went out so for the rest of the family we had to resort to using our prototypes, Shown here without the hooks to hang them on the tree.
Forgive the quality of most of the pictures, the camera used is far from top of the line.
Coolest Dad ever!!! These are so fun!! Super impressed. I’m also a big fan of making gifts, I think it teaches the kiddos something special and the gifts mean so much more that way. ❤️
Me too! Though I had to put THESE presents up on a book case so we wouldn't be tempted to play with them. Thankfully we're finally getting around to celebrating Christmas.

Thanks! I'm hoping to get builder kits ready for when the game is closer to a playable state. These figures don't have moving parts but the build kits should. fingers crossed

Thanks! We're hopefully going into a development sprint for the next few weeks. Hopefully, we'll have something playable near the end of it..
