Ambitions are the things we aim to do, achieve or become in life. Cynthia has always been the one who fights for her classmates in school whenever people from other class treat them badly. Cynthia loves to fight for others and she so much dislikes cheating. She’s not the kind of person who will cheat you and she expects you to do the same.
The fact that you may be a million years older than Cynthia does not mean she will let you cheat her. She will always find a way to get justice. Having a child like that is cool but balancing up may be quite difficult.
When her father asked her who she wants to become in future, Cynthia said she wants to fight for people and so be it.
She started making sure that no one around her gets cheated on.
A few months after Cynthia celebrated her wedding ceremony, she got pregnant and was living fine. She gave birth to twins and was still being a human right activist that she has always wanted to become.
She lived in a rural area where touts usually disturb the market women and loot their shops. She was called to attention and she decided to run a protest. She called so many market women to support her with the protest so that they can be free from such disturbance.
They all agreed and gathered at the front of her house every morning so that they could march to the chairman’s house. This was never an easy process and the leaders of those touts always make sure that they ruin their Cynthia’s home even though she is always lucky to fix things again.
Suddenly, she stopped sleeping home regularly. She went from meetings to meetings making sure that there is a solution for those market women. Unfortunately, her husband began to cough almost everyday. She didn’t really take note but felt it was a minor issue. She always make sure that she gets him some cough syrup without asking him if he has gone to the hospital or ask him the exact thing wrong with him.
She kept on going from meetings to meetings fighting for other people without looking back at her family to know what’s up with their lives.
When the cough was getting too much, her husband visited the hospital and it was revealed that he had lung cancer. He called his wife to explain things to her but she’s always busy and never on sit.
How come her husband isn’t feeling too well and she doesn’t know what exactly is wrong with him and focused on her career alone? What a blind ambition!
Her husband was at least trying to take care of the kids and things were going well between them. He was such an understanding man. It would have been better if the ailment will be obvious but the only way to know that the young man was coughing and that’s all.
Cynthia resolved the problem for the market women and spent almost all her money on that case.
When she finally got home that night jubilating about her win, she met her husband and kids crying.
What’s the problem? I’ve never seen my family in this mood. Tell me, honey. I can solve the problem she asked the the husband responded and said…
You might have solved the problem if you were always available but you’re never on sit. You only prioritized your career but forgot about your family. What a shame! she sobs. She was sad for the fact that her kids may dislike her right away. She felt like entering the ground.
She felt bad even without knowing what was exactly wrong with her husband until her four year old child told her that her father is suffering from lung cancer and only has five months to live.
Cynthia wailed and regretted for never being at home to stay with her family. She regretted that she only fought for other people and didn’t fight for her family. She regretted her actions toward her husband and for not picking his calls and also for never giving him the opportunity to talk whenever they needed to.
She realized she had a blind ambition because she neglected every other thing around her.
Five months later, she lost her husband after taking good care of him for five years. She made sure he spends the rest of his days happily even though she knew he was going to die soon.
Ever since then, she never took up a case that will take much time for her which will result to neglecting her family.
I think her passion to help people was great but she neglected the most important thing in her life and paid the hard way, it is sad that such an understanding husband lost his life.
