After retrieving the mask, I survived a terrifying encounter with multiple Stalkers in a dark corridor. Then I had to clear the path using melee and then firearms . I returned to find Lev safe, placed the mask on the kid for protection, and together we found a new path forward through a difficult jump.

I heard noises around after retrieving that mask, which spooked me immediately as the sound echoed through the hollow apartments. I was in this dark, secluded place where the only light came from my flickering torch.

I used my hearing ability to understand there was actually something hidden on the other side of the wall, moving with a clicking, skittering sound. And when I was approaching ahead, I noticed a stalker playing with me, hid before I could get a clear shot. It was fast and remarkably quiet.

After reaching this corridor, I understood there were multiple stalkers stalking me from around the corners. I held my ground there, keeping my back to a solid wall so nothing could sneak up behind me. I watched the shadows, waiting for the first one to make its move into the light.

One of the stalkers decided to come to me, and when it reached me, I didn't use any bullet on it because I didn't want to attract any clickers that might be nearby. I took it down in a melee struggle.

There came another one from the opposite direction, and I did the same with this monster as I stood my ground. I took it down easily with a well-timed strike that sent it reeling back into the darkness. Fighting them up close was intense, but it kept the noise levels at a minimum.

Then there were more, and I decided to at last open fire as I realized there shouldn't be any clickers around to hear the noise. After taking the last stalker down with firepower, I noticed all the bodies I just killed lying around me.

Then I had to get back to Lev, hoping she didn't leave her spot or get into any trouble while I was gone. Fortunately, I found him safe exactly where I left him, waiting patiently for my return.

The kid was happy to see Abby back, and then Abby made the kid wear the mask so they could go to the spores area together safely. She checked the seal around his face, ensuring the filtered air would keep him out of danger. It was a moment of true care amidst the surrounding horror.

After getting through that door and entering the thick haze of the spores, we had to look for a way out of the collapsing structure. Lev just found this jump for me, pointing out a ledge that led to a higher floor. We moved together, helping each other to navigate the ruin.
We'll check what happens next in another post.

You handled the emotional part after the horror really well. Coming back and finding Lev safe before carefully placing the mask on him created a moment of warmth and trust between them in such a brutal environment.
Yeah, that moment really felt like a breather after all the tension.
Those Stalkers are easily the scariest part of the game. They playing hide and seek in a dark apartment is enough to make anyone nervous. Great job managing your ammo by using melee first.
It's basically hide and seek, except the loser gets jumped suddenly, lol.
The decision to avoid gunfire at first was a smart move. Fighting stalkers in melee inside narrow corridors sounds terrifying.
True, narrow spaces heavily favor stealth and controlled melee over loud combat.
I'm glad to see Lev is safe and sound. The transition from quiet melee to full firepower once you knew the coast was clear was a solid decision.
Yeah, that was the right moment to change tactics.
