Mariupol. The Chronicles of Hell (video)
This is a documentary about the humanitarian catastrophe of Mariupol in Ukraine. You can have a whole range of opinions about the causes of the ongoing war, about the right course of action for various direct participants and members of the international community. But if humanity matters to you then you can't help but acknowledge the ultimate inhumanity, the supreme crime of deliberate destruction of a civilian city.
The scenes run the whole gamut - civilians fleeing assault, first responders working under fire trying to save human lives, people forced to drink water from puddles and eat their pets, etc. This is a horrifying tale of modern conflict- something that modern technology can bring pretty much anywhere at almost a moment's notice.
I think this documentary may help develop emotional awareness as well as bring to the fore the need for preparedness as something as seemingly insignificant as a water filter or a can of beans can make a difference between life and death in situations of this nature.

Nestor's story
I didn't know the situation is this much bad. It is like being caught in a trap.
That is exactly what it is.
I did a rough estimate and counting 20,000 dead for a 500K initial population, Mariupol lost far more people than Leningrad during the siege two months into it. It is a tremendous humanitarian catastrophe.

So, after almost 80 years nothing has changed. Humanity just watch another tragedy.
80 years is just 4 generations. Not enough time to mutate.
