Rangkang Blang

in #photography8 years ago

Rangkang is a simple building in the rice fields built by farmers as a place to rest. Rangkang - also referred to as jambo - also functions as a surveillance post to secure rice from pest attacks such as sparrows. This building is usually made without walls for farmers to freely observe their rice fields.

Resting in the rangkang is very fun. We can enjoy the breeze that blows from the hills. Moreover, equipped with a plate of hot rice plus shrimp paste and warm coffee and fried bananas, while looking at the green and yellow rice fields.
