Like many of you on this platform, I have been watching the big Bitcoin halving event today. Its hard to call it an event, but with the rewards being cut in half for the miners, it is a big deal.
I had no idea what to expect and people were looking at history only – many people were expecting a sell off prior to the halving, but really we had a run into it, with a slight pullback on a high level. People also expect Bitcoin to be volatile for a while after the halving before starting a new bull run which is expected to take Bitcoin to new all time highs.
As for me, I have no idea what to expect or what I was expecting from today. It seems that history and trend charting are rarely correct when it comes to Bitcoin and its fairly limited history. So, I continue to watch and hope for that upcoming bull run… we shall see!
