I joined @qurator soon after I got to STEEM, and I feel like this was one of my better moves. When you apply for membership, @qurator will look at your posts and let you in if you are posting good work. You can find out how to access the group here:

Once you are in, you will get one good upvote a day from them and have a chance to be featured on many of their roundup and spotlight posts each week.
The @qurator discord room has good information and a place to promote your work to other members. In that spot, you need to comment and vote for someone else before you drop your own link and this is very helpful in making friends here.
Qurator also has contests for both members and non-members. These give excellent upvotes if you win, and sometimes pays in their token as well. If you hold the token, you will also get a daily STEEM dividend to your wallet.
All in all, I am very happy I joined this group and get a lot out of it.

Nope, not a member of Qurator and I tend to avoid getting myself into anything that has standards :P or rules even worse standards and rules. the way you describe it though, I was looking for a word yesterday to describe some communities etc and I got it now - Unions.
I think their standards are mostly about the length of your posts and that you do not steal media. I'm not sure about feeling like I am in a union, but I am glad to get the votes :)

I currently (2019.10.08, 20:06 CEST) have 4 Qurator Token (Q).
As a Qurator Token (Q) holder I am receiving a small amount (a fraction) of Steem (around 0.006 Steem) every day.
I have the same. A little bit of STEEM is better than none :)
