Mr. Uche is our Chief Security Officer; he is always agile and strong. Recently, while we were discussing strategies to reduce fatigue and boredom in the office,
Mr. Uche burst out, “We need exercise, madam, and we need things to use for this exercise. We need a table tennis court, we need to play puzzles, we need Ludo games, and other things to make us smart. Look at my personnel, look at the staff, and look at the whole place, looking dull.
After his speech, the operations manager continued, “Madam, employees are tired of working without exercising themselves. We need to exercise, all work, and no play makes employees dull.
At that juncture, the finance manager asked the procurement manager to enquire about the different games and sports items mentioned during the meeting and submit quotations to the management team for approval.
During employee engagement, they were told that management has approved some sports items, and consultations are still ongoing to confirm which sports items will be accommodated in the not spacious admin facility.
Surprisingly, the employees got more than they bargained for as the management also approved a transportation allowance to alleviate the current fuel hike in the country and cushion its effect on employees.
