Keep in mind that litecoin is currently the only altcoin using/trialing segwit. People are betting on their success pioneering this as the segwit vs bitcoin unlimited debate continues.

Is the minimum amount that an investor can participate in the crowdfund? Am I misreading the above stating the minimum to be 25,000 ETH? This seems outrageously high at 1ETH = 48USD.
