RE: Food Porn

Erika, this post should come with a warning label — I read it right before lunch and now my own meal looks embarrassingly inadequate by comparison! 😄

The venison ragout soup had me at "ragout," and that Oven baked smoked pork leg dish sounds like something you need a nap scheduled before and after eating. 4320 kcal — respect to whoever finished half of that and still had the strength to pack the rest.

I have to admit the "rooster testicles stew... don't ask" line made me laugh out loud. Some things are better left as a mystery on the menu, and yet you tell us anyway — bold move! 🐓😅

And that Esterházy torte — as someone who grows things for a living, I have deep respect for anyone who can layer almond meringue that precisely without losing their mind. That's basically edible architecture.

Thank you for the trip to Transylvania through your plate — the rustic building with the Hungarian motifs sounds like exactly the kind of place I'd want to sit for three hours, order too much, and regret nothing.

I'll take the duck thighs, by the way. Put me down for that.

Yeah, I usually start my food posts with a warning, but here I must have been tired, or my focus was elsewhere and missed writing the warning :) Usually I get a lot of "it made me hungry" comments and I can understand them why :)

I'm glad you liked the food. There were so many good dishes and I've tried quite a few so far and have always been satisfied, even if this experience left me with a bit of regret.

I'll take the duck thighs, by the way. Put me down for that.

Me too as that's the best, with cabbage. Next time I'm going to order it.

Thanks for the nice comment and have a nice day, and dinner too :) :)
