In my house I have lived with four tortoises for several years. They are one male and three females. In the first and second photograph the male.

The size of the male and those two females is similar. Although we always feed them with vegetable remains and also leftovers of any food consumed at home, they walk around the front yard of my house looking for food, and usually eat leaves and plant shoots. In the front yard I have planted two soursop trees and one avocado tree, and sometimes they take advantage of the fruits that fall to the ground.
El tamaño del macho y esas dos hembras es similar. Aunque siempre los alimentamos con restos de vegetales y también restos de cualquier comida consumida en casa, caminan por el patio de mi casa buscando alimento, y por lo general comen hojas y brotes de plantas. En el patio tengo sembrado dos árboles de guanábana y uno de aguacate, y en ocasiones aprovechan los frutos que caen al suelo.
Although they are slow-walking they are really very active. It's nice to sit in a room overlooking the front yard and watch them pop up walking around. When one is not seen in the front yard it is because it is hiding in some shelter under piles of leaves or in some corner of the front yard.
Aunque son de lento caminar en realidad son muy activos. Es agradable sentarme en una sala con vista al patio y verlos aparecer recorriendo. Cuando alguno no se ve en el patio es porque está escondido en algún refugio debajo de montones de hojas o en algún rincón del patio.
In the following pictures I gathered the four morrocoys and the one at the bottom is the other female. This female is the largest and differs widely in size from the others.
En las siguientes fotografías reuní a los cuatro morrocoyes y el que aparece en la parte de abajo es la otra hembra. Esta hembra es la más grande y se diferencia ampliamente en su tamaño con relación a los otros.

Sporadically, when I am inside the house I hear the loud and easily recognizable sound that the male emits indicating that he is trying to copulate with one of the females.
Esporádicamente, cuando estoy dentro de la casa escucho el sonido fuerte y fácilmente reconocible, que emite el macho indicando que está tratando de copular con alguna de las hembras.
Since there is one male and three females, the probability of hatching is higher. Over time, I have found one or two hatchlings and sometimes I have left them alone in the front yard or placed them in a planter, but when there are a lot of hatchlings, I collect them and place them in the planter and then give them as gifts. I know there is currently a hatchling in the yard but I have not found it.
Como hay un macho y tres hembras, la probabilidad de nacimiento de crías es mayor. En el tiempo, he encontrado una que otra cría y a veces las he dejado tranquilas en el patio o las he colocado en una jardinera, pero cuando hay muchas crías, las recolecto y coloco en la jardinera para después regalarlas. Sé que actualmente hay una cría en el patio pero no la encontré.
Finally comment, that my tortoises belong to the species Chelonoidis carbonaria, popularly known as red-footed tortoise.
Finalmente comentar, que mis morrocoyes pertenecen a la especie Chelonoidis carbonaria, popularmente conocida como morrocoy de patas rojas.

Your 4 turtles are very beautiful. They are usually very active animals and transmit a lot of peace, without forgetting that it is a pet to have during all your life.
