Greetings dear hivers lovers of good food, today I share with you a recipe that is never missing in my house, because as a descendant of Chinese is one of the first recipes I learned to make because far from being delicious it is a family legacy that will be passed down from generation to generation.
Wonton soup is a preparation based on chicken or chicken broth in which stuffed pasta called wontons are cooked. The filling of these wontons can be pork but for the soup they are usually chicken. This is a recipe equivalent to the tortellinis in brodo of the Italian culture, only with more wontons in the broth. There are two versions of this recipe, wonton soup and wanton mein soup, which also contains noodles. In today's recipe we will prepare Wonton Soup.
Saludos queridos hivers amantes de la buena comida, el día de hoy les comparto una receta que nunca falta en mi casa, ya que como descendiente de chinos es una de las primeras recetas que aprendí a elaborar porque lejos de ser deliciosa se trata de un legado familiar que irá transmitiéndose de generación en generación.
La sopa wonton es una preparación a base de de caldo de gallina o pollo en el cual se cocinan unas pastas rellenas llamadas wonton. El relleno de estos wontones puede ser de cerdo pero para la sopa generalmente son de pollo. Esta es una receta equivalente a los tortellinis in brodo de la cultura italiana, solo que con más cantidad de wontones en el caldo. Hay dos versiones de esta receta, la sopa wonton y la sopa wanton mein, la cual lleva también fideos. En la receta de hoy prepararemos Sopa Wonton.
For the filling:
1 cup finely chopped lean chicken meat
1/2 tablespoon ginger, finely chopped
1/2 tablespoon of finely chopped scallions
salt, garlic powder and soy sauce to taste
For the dough:
1 cup wheat flour
1 whole egg
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
For the soup:
2 liters of chicken broth
Para el relleno:
1 taza de carne de pollo magra picada finamente
1/2 cucharada de jengibre picado muy fino
1/2 cucharada de cebollín picado muy fino
sal, ajo en polvo y salsa soya al gusto
Para la masa:
1 taza de harina de trigo
1 huevo entero
1/4 de taza de agua
1/2 cucharadita de sal
Para la sopa:
2 litros de caldo de pollo
An anecdote I can tell you is that at my great aunts' house, the dough for wontons was rolled out with a broomstick used only for this purpose. This thin stick guaranteed a very thin dough to make wontons.
Una anécdota que les puedo contar, es que en casa de mis tías abuelas, la masa para wonton se estiraba con el palo de una escoba destinado solo para este fin. Este palo delgado garantizada una masa muy fina para realizar los wontones.
You can put a little water on one of the ends so that the dough sticks well and does not open. In the same way, here are some pictures with the step by step so that you can get the typical hat shape and the typical dough tail.
Pueden colocar un poco de agua en uno de los extremos para que la masa pegue bien y no se abran. De igual forma a continuación te coloco unas fotos con el paso a paso para que te queden con la típica forma de sombrerito y su típica cola de masa.
I didn't add all the wontons in the soup, but since my house is very gluttonous, the leftovers were fried and eaten with sweet and sour sauce hahaha.
Yo no agregué todos los wontones en la sopa, pero como en mi casa son muy glotones, los que sobraron se frieron y se consumieron con salsa agridulce jajaja.
