The boring international break according to most die-hard club football fans across the world, has begun and the EUROs qualifiers actions has kickstarted. England and Czech Republic began their qualifiers match encounter against each other, in a game that finally turned out to be a game of total destruction as England let Czech gasping for air at the Wembley Stadium.
It was a happy ending for the English, a fantastic result towards their UEFA Euros qualification. For Chelsea, it was a crucial victory as they keep pushing for one of their major targets this season. Also here
Post-Match Analyses
It was an exciting atmosphere at the Wembley Stadium prior to the game, buzzing as supporting fans were cheering and chanting. Both teams were pumped and ready to battle it out.
The game began and as expected, England started in their favorite 4-3-3 formation, with their star man Kane leading the line. Czech Republic on the other hand lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
The game began and England immediately took control of the game and looked more dangerous, having more of the ball possession and forcing for the first goal which later came in the 24th minute before going on to complete the annihilation. Czech had their moments but were not clear chances to actually cause real threats.
Sterling was the first goal scorer for England in the 24th minute, after a fantastic no-look pass to set Walker up for a low cross to find Sterling who just needed to slide the ball home for the first goal of the match.
Harry Kane added his name on the scoresheet from a penalty kick just seconds before half time to double the lead.
Sterling was on the scoresheet yet again in the 62nd minute to double his goal tally for the match, as he curled home from close range, capitalizing from a clumsy Czech defending to increase the lead to 3 nil.
Sterling finally got his deserved hat trick for the night in the 6 minutes later after his fantastic strike outside box took a deflection to far right. What a way to round off a great performance with a hat trick. This goal meant it was game over for the Czech Republic.
An own goal by Kalas to put the ball in his goal net to help England complete the annihilation. An electric drive by Husdon Odoi who got his senior call-up for the national team, released a shot which was parried away by the goalkeeper but was unfortunately put into their own net through an own goal.
A great win for England as they keep fighting to get to the top when it comes to nations football.
