This is exactly what I've thought to myself often. Even me, know what I want to see.. some hive info.. will search it on google.. get some lame NOT hive (blockchain) listing of sites.. and, if not for me knowing to put 'blockchain' after 'hive', i would certainly give up and never find what i was searching for.

Harder for some than for others. It will require a hard fork, engaging with exchanges, and lots of small changes over many sites and services. Some sites are more tightly coupled than others, especially the core marketing sites like hive.io.
I don't want to understate the work involved. I do want to make the case that this is a do or die (slowly) matter.
Step 1: Build support for a rebrand in principle.
Step 2: Build support for a specific rebrand.
We should avoid even making suggestions until we have widespread agreement that a rebrand is required.
