World Cup is in full swing. We are a couple of days into the 2026 World Cup, and already there have been some surprising results. As always with the World Cup, it seems that, often in the news, they choose to focus on the drama off the pitch compared to on it, but for me, I love football and will just focus on the football.

I've decorated one of the walls in my room in the spirit of the World Cup. Unfortunately, I don't own any national team scarves, so I've had to get a little creative. Instead, I've put up a collection of football club scarves that I've picked up during my travels over the years. While they may not represent countries competing on the world stage, each scarf carries its own memories and stories from different places I've visited. I still have a couple of scarves left over and have scattered them around the room. As for the long term, maybe the wall chart will be taken down, but I like the scarves being on display; I may have to be more creative with them. As for shirts, I only have my Manchester United jersey, and I wear it during games and when I participate in football training at the university. Jerseys are overpriced anyway, but despite the cost, a friend has mentioned a classic jersey site to me, and I may look into that for picking up budget-friendly football merch. I hope to find something similar for the NFL too, as I would like to finally get something to rep the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Football unites the world, and with that, I wrap up this post. Thanks for reading.
