The students argued on the topic so severely. It was a battle between the junior students and the senior students. The senior students go against the topic while the junior students went for the topic.
According to the junior students, parents should be made to choose course for their children.
The first speaker spoke a lot and went ahead saying that parents are still the guidance of children and has the right to dictate for them. The speaker went further and ask a question that if you ask your mum to prepare a particular meal for you such as beans for supper, and you know vividly well that eating beans as night food will make you stool, and your mum decided to prepare nice soup with confirm fufu. After eating it, won't you thank your mum? And won't you also thank your mum for not allowing you to eat beans when you know can make you stool?
The speaker for the senior students spoke elaborately. He said that parents should not be allowed to choose or dictate for their students. The speaker said it that choosing courses for a child should make such child fall apart. Children of nowadays have the right to choose whatever course they like. It is best parents keep clear from their children's career. They are the ones going for whatever course they choose. The best method is to remain calm as a parent. Children should be allowed to choose their career. They can not just perform but perform better in whatever course they like choosing.
A question was thrown to the students that : How will you feel when your parent asked you to go for a course you don't like. One of them responded that I will feel too bad because, I may not be able to perform better. I may also loose control of my best subject. She went further by making one reference that there was a father that wanted the child to read medicine and surgery. But that wasn't the fate of this fellow. He decided to read that course but when he was through he gave the dad the certificate and went back to the university to study electrical engineering which was the course of his choice. He is now a good lawyer.
No matter how, never allow your parent to choose your career for you. Sometimes choosing for the child do favour them.
But this is just rare 30 out of 100%.

Parents should not be allowed to choose courae for their childrean. All they will have to do is to guide them iñorder to choose course based on their interest and hobby.
