Original poetry - 'She sat by the window'

in #life8 years ago (edited)

She sat by the window to watch the rain.
The same spot where she sat
when she watched them walk out the garden
and when she watched them come back.

But here was no 'they' living there anymore
And there was no garden
But a clutter of rusted swings
and children's bikes and crushed dreams

Oh that is such a sad image (mental image, from the poem).
Nice work, @corina, I upvoted this, but not as much
As before, with the price so low, I have to

So beautiful in its sadness 💓

Forsaken habitat. How so lonely!
