This is a facepainting done by me which I named it "Rebirth". I thought about writing a short poem about it this morning. Here it is....
Shadows of fingers who touched my soul
Scattered on the field of my emotions
Nothing is seen, nothing is told
It's all swirled up and it gives you commotion
Piles of wounds dance together in a colorful field of questions
Nothing is seen, nothing is told...
It's all swirled up and it gives you commotion
The inner balance fills up with light
Sprouts of new hope begin
You take the wounds from behind and search again deep within
Now everything's seen, everything's told
It's all coming out alive and it gives
You...
Again...
Emotion...
This is about emotional rebirth. A feeling which probably most of us experienced more than once in a lifetime after being hurt.... Easier to put it out in poetry and in painting than in complicated words.

Thank you very much! I often feel I have trouble in expressing verbally what I feel. Words can often be misinterpreted. So visual language can be very useful, along with poetic thoughts. There was some paint on this one, but I always do a great job washing it afterwards.
Your poem is very deep. I love it. it is beautiful that people have other ways of expressing themselves. And your face painting is exceptional, as well. Sometimes expressing with word may be hard, but poetry is soul language. It doesn't matter if it is written or said, painted or drawn, poetry has a lot of forms. And you have made poetry twice this time.
Thank you Alejandra! I rarely write poetry, but I felt like it today. I am not very good with words when it is about emotions. I think we all try to use our own language and learn the one of the other in order to express how we feel. Sometimes,fewer words are better
