HEADLINE 🤔

There's a new Soul-like game releasing. You now have a chance to give it a try before you buy thanks to the newly released demo.

Morbid: The Lords of Ire is a dark and atmospheric action RPG developed by Still Running and published by Merge Games. It is the sequel to 2020's Morbid: The Seven Acolytes. Morbid games are set in a horror-fantasy world, the game is known for its challenging gameplay, eerie atmosphere, and Lovecraftian-inspired themes. The title's emphasis on intense combat and intricate level design has garnered attention from players who appreciate a dark and punishing gaming experience.

The gameplay of Morbid: The Lords of Ire is centered around challenging combat encounters and character progression. Players assume the role of the last Striver of Dibrom, a lone warrior on a quest to defeat the Lords of Ire, powerful beings corrupted by evil forces. The combat system incorporates a variety of weapons, each with its unique feel and playstyle, allowing players to choose their preferred approach to battles. The game's difficulty is notorious, requiring players to carefully time their attacks, dodge enemy strikes, and adapt to the patterns of formidable foes.

The game's world is a nightmarish landscape filled with grotesque creatures, eerie environments, and challenging boss encounters. The Lovecraftian influence is evident in the game's narrative and art style, creating a dark and foreboding atmosphere. The grim and haunting visuals contribute to the overall sense of dread, immersing players in a world where cosmic horror and malevolence reign supreme.

Morbid: The Lords of Ire should be praised for its challenging gameplay, atmospheric design, and the depth of its lore. The game's dedication to delivering a punishing experience reminiscent of other Souls-like RPGs will resonate with fans of the genre.

I'm normally the type to struggle with Souls-like games. Morbid was far from easy, but I was at least able to progress decently far into the demo. I did not however reach the end, so this is a pretty lengthy demo that is sure to test your might.

I had a lot of fun with Morbid: The Lords of Ire, despite its obvious difficulty. I advise you to seek out this demo yourself if you are curious. You can also watch my video below where I'll give you my first impressions of the game.

Thanks for watching and be sure to drop any comments you may have down below, I will get back to everyone.

The gameplay reminded me of Demon’s Souls and Bloodborne, or maybe all the Souls series. I read it again but it’s not from From Software, right? They really look similar.
For a demo, this is already a bit fun. 😅

Not a From Software game, but very clearly inspired by those games.
