Este no es un post de Halloween ni de objetos encantados, aunque, tiene su toque mágico porque son objetos que en ellos hay vivencias personales, son testigos de tu época y que el tiempo, la tecnología, los avances los van desplazando convirtiéndose en rarezas que solo tienen significado para ti y para la generación que los produjo.
Hoy he tomado tres de estos objetos, que son tan apreciados que ocupan un lugar no solo físico sino también en algún rinconcito de mi memoria y para tener una imagen más grafica, en mi corazón, comencemos:
Los álbumes fotográficos
Son una belleza. En ellos se encuentran recogido tu viaje en el tiempo. Momentos felices y significativos que alguien tuvo la gentileza de capturar. En las fotografías también encontramos esas personas que amamos y ya no están en este plano y aquellas que han sido y siguen siendo las que te llenan de alegría presente como los álbumes de nuestros hijos.
Hacer el álbum de nuestros hijos siempre es una experiencia gratificante, me encantaban esos álbumes que te daban la oportunidad de ir contando la historia, como iban creciendo, sus gracias y momentos únicos.
Hoy en día tomamos muchas, muchísimas fotos, tenemos el teléfono recargados de ellas, pero me atrevería a afirmar que deben ser pocas las personas que hacen o llevan la historia de sus momentos felices de manera tangible, el álbum de fotografías pasa a ser uno de esos objetos que tienden a desaparecer, algo valioso y digno de atesorar.
Las cartas de amor
Dificulto que una chica de hoy tenga una caja como la que te presento. Son cartas de amor, no de cualquier amor, sino, las de mi amor, las de ese hombre que despertó las emociones más intensas que he vivido. Son cartas llenas de pasión, de un sentimiento tan profundo que hoy, cuando las saco de su lugar, no puedo dejar de releer algunas y una esplendida sonrisa se dibuja en mi rostro, sentirse amada de esa forma es dulcemente hermoso.
Recibía estas cartas casi a diario, la mayoría tienen más de treinta años, si me propusiera a “trabajarlas” podría reconstruir una historia de amor o escribir un libro sobre “lo que los hombres sienten y no se atreven a decir”, jajaja, porque no es fácil expresar de manera escrita todo lo que vas sintiendo por una persona y él lo hacía de una manera “encantadora”.
Me imagino que hoy las muchachas recibirán muchas palabras de amor a través del WhatsApp pero pocas una carta de puño y letra del ser amado. Mejor-peor no, solamente distinto. A veces me pregunto —¿Qué voy a hacer con ellas?— Posiblemente a mi hija y mis nietas, en algún momento, les gustaría conocer cómo vivimos nuestra primera etapa de amor.
Los perfumes
No es que los perfumes hayan desaparecido ni mucho menos, lo que si desaparece son determinadas fragancias que en una época hicieron historia.
Me encanta un perfume y pienso que cuando los escogemos parte de nuestra personalidad se encuentran en ellos y que su uso depende de nuestro estado de ánimo y del momento o lugar a donde vayamos. Por ejemplo: para ir a trabajar una fragancia suave, poco agresiva y para una cita amorosa algo más intenso y agresivo.
Un perfume como el yourth-Dew de Estée Lauder o un Champagne de Caron son perfumes extremadamente fuertes que impregnan el ambiente de presencia es como un mensaje de “Yo estoy aquí”.
Creation de Ted Lapidus, la línea de Gaultier o el Anais Anais de Cacharel son fragancias dulces y muy femeninas que te hacen sentir que “la vida es Bella” y por qué no, ¡Que tu eres bella!
La mayoría de estas fragancias es posible encontrarlas en el comercio, sin embargo, estoy segura que no son de uso común, que han perdido parte de su popularidad quedando para un mercado que ya las conoce.
La última vez que escogí un perfume le dije a la vendedora:
—Quiero un perfume con una fragancia moderna, que sea suave y me lo pueda poner a cualquier hora y en cualquier ocasión—. Me sacó varios y quedé prendada con el Intense de Hugo Boss, es exquisito y con muchas cualidades, eso fue hace unos cuantos años, quizás ya no esté en el top de los preferidos.
Lo cierto es que los perfumes entran en esa categoría de objetos que, aún cuando ya no los uses, al inspirar nuevamente sus aromas, evocas con cariño momentos vividos.
Este post no nació con intensión de iniciativa, sin embargo, mientras lo hacía pensaba que cada uno atesora “Objetos que contienen vida”, de pronto, quieres compartirlos con nosotros. Making our children's albums is always a rewarding experience, I loved those albums that gave you the opportunity to tell the story, how they were growing up, their graces and unique moments.
Nowadays we take many, many photos, we have our phones full of them, but I would dare to say that there must be few people who make or carry the story of their happy moments in a tangible way, the photo album becomes one of those objects that tend to disappear, something valuable and worth treasuring.
Love letters
It's hard for a girl today to have a box like the one I present to you. They are love letters, not just any love, but those of my love, those of that man who awakened the most intense emotions I have ever experienced. They are letters full of passion, of such a deep feeling that today, when I take them out of their place, I cannot stop rereading some of them and a splendid smile is drawn on my face, feeling loved in that way is sweetly beautiful.
I received these letters almost daily, most of them are more than thirty years old, if I proposed to "work on them" I could reconstruct a love story or write a book about "what men feel and do not dare to say", hahaha, because it is not easy to express in writing everything you feel for a person and he did it in a "charming" way.
I imagine that today girls will receive many words of love through WhatsApp but few a handwritten letter from the loved one. Not better-not worse, just different. Sometimes I wonder - what am I going to do with them - possibly my daughter and granddaughters, at some point, would like to know how we lived our first stage of love.
Perfumes
It is not that perfumes have disappeared, far from it, what is disappearing are certain fragrances that once made history.
I love a perfume and I think that when we choose them part of our personality is in them and that their use depends on our mood and the time or place where we go. For example: to go to work a soft fragrance, not very aggressive and for a love date something more intense and aggressive.
A perfume like Estée Lauder's yourth-Dew or Caron's Champagne are extremely strong perfumes that permeate the atmosphere with presence, like an "I am here" message.
