RE: The Slow Death Spiral Has a Root Cause: The Name "Hive"

Thanks for this, @demotruk. I've always said that the name “Hive” was a terrible choice.

I know how much work rebranding takes—many people still have me saved in their contacts as “Daniel Hive,” and we have an active community like Hive Run. However, I think the change would be very positive and could be used as a marketing strategy with an attention-grabbing relaunch, like a second chance. Plus, with prices at all-time lows, now would be the perfect time. We also have the example of Splinterlands, which changed from Steemmonsters, and it was a positive move.

On Discord, @cryptoniusrex
mentioned the Hive wiki. I remember someone created it on Wikipedia, but it’s not there anymore.

We’re listed as the first example under “Web3,” but no one can click on the name because the page hasn’t been created yet.

This is on the Spanish Wikipedia

The wiki created specifically for Hive is pretty empty. There are only a few articles by @godfish and @stayoutoftherz https://propol.is/wiki. and I ran into a small obstacle when trying to access it
