Toby Creek

DSC00047.jpeg

Hiking along side the golf course for the first half of the hike, and then veering off toward Toby Creek for the second half. An easy and scenic walk it was. As you can see, the creek (which is closer to being considered a river I’d say) is low this time of year, as this was mid September hike. I’d like to see how high it gets in late June or early July actually. Well thanks for stopping by, and have a great evening.

Does this mean you get a lot of rainfall around June/July every year?

It is the snow melt off the mountains which cause the rise/fall generally speaking.

Oh great, I thought it was generally just more rainfall

Some of that too.

What a gorgeous golf course and surrounding area. That looks like an interesting area to look for gold, I'm sure prospectors have looked in the past already though! I love the pine in your pictures, there really is nothing like majestic pines to lift your spirits!

Toby Creek has to get pretty high by looking at all the river rocks of to the side of the water. It's all smooth river rock so it's been eroded for millions of years. Is this going to be a repeat visit location? It looks like a beautiful place to spend a summer!

Seeing as my planned hike for that day got scrubbed, yes I do plan on heading back, maybe even this September hopefully!

Those stacked rocks are cool man

I wonder if you could jump it was a cr250?!

beautiful river, the presence of small rocks on the edge makes the river look more beautiful

Indeed, a beauty of a river!
