今天吃午饭的时候,在休息室的黑板上看到一道题:√-1 2³ ∑π
看了半天没明白这是道什么题目。π 是无限的,π 的总和不也是无限的吗?这道题怎么会有解?
突然,我同事和我说,这道题的答案是:I ate some pie!
我困惑了,8是ate,∑(sum) 是some的谐音,π 是pi,但是√-1为什么是i?
同事和我解释,√-1 是imaginary i
为什么√-1是imaginary i呢?
我们都知道任何数乘以自己都是一个正整数,比如:
9x9=81
-1x-1=1
-0.1x-0.1= 0.01
但是有没有一个数,自己乘以自己会得到一个负数呢?有,那就是我们上面所说的imaginary i。
i x i = -1
i = √-1
话说这个imaginary i有什么用途吗?
这个i的用途在于可以解决如果一个根数是负数的问题。
比如:
√-9 = √9 x √-1
√-9 = 3i
好了,瞎扯了半天,我要去吃我的pie了~
