As the country going for a temporary open, we have a temporary relief. I'm going for a short break from the hectic lifestyle. Nope, working from home is not a relief. You have all the rights to express your own feelings, but that does not apply to me. I rather go to the office.

Photo was taken before sunset, decided to keep the laundry and head out to buy dinner.

At here, sunsets very quickly. Let's take a shot 15 minutes before 8pm.

Saw my neighbor put up RM15 for a kilogram of durian! Seriously, can't miss it!

I didn't know he sells durian until few days ago when I saw his car.

Nobody knows when will the bloody situation ends, so selling fruits, doing hawker business is one of the easiest cash generator for now.

After durian opening session, 5 fruits I bought and here I am 5 minutes before 8pm.

It's like flipping the light switch as we all know, countries nearer to the equator tends to have a super speed sunset/sunrise.

And this is RM100 got me. Not the cheapest thing to do, but what do you expect with the existing RAUB incidents, where a big portion of the durian tree being chopped. Let's hope this thing stays affordable, or soon we're going to be literally eating gold.
DURIIIIIIIIIAN!

Funny, I am always trying to explain my northern latitude friends how fast the sun rises and sets near the equator. In my boyhood home of Indiana, it starts to get dark at 5pm, but doesn't get fully dark until about 9pm. That's nearly 4 hours, but here in Suriname it can blinding bright, then you take a quick shower and walk out to total darkness.

Here's why, the equator is NOT exactly inline with the sun angle, but it's tilted at more than 20' angle. With this animated gif, you can see the equator country will generally have a longer exposure to the sun despite any angle and or any season and anytime of the year. And the portion is roughly 12 hours

To explain why the hell countries in equator always get super speed sunset/sunrise, one need to go to the moon and see the earth diamond ring effect.

This is the moment, probably less than 5 minutes to see the diamond ring when one observe the equinox. Is exactly what happening to us at the equator on a daily basis. Twice. Once on the east 8 o clock in the morning, and once west 8 o clock in the evening.
