Already in 2012, light field photography arrived in the consumer market. At that time, the start-up Lytro brought out such a camera. With the help of light field photography blurred photos should be a thing of the past. The company K-Lens pursues this idea now and wants to place this technology in an interchangeable lens. Like a kaleidoscope, different perspectives of the same motif are generated. After that, they are simultaneously projected onto the camera sensor.

A prototype will be developed by the end of the year and a commercial product will be launched in 2019. Initially only as a camera without video function. It is optimized for cameras with full sensor and should weigh about 800g. Further steps are the implementation of a video function with the possibility to film 3D recordings and to "cut out" persons without a green screen.
Hi.
How much do you think them cams could sell for ?
And would the k_lens sell separately?
Maybe one could use with phone.
Thanks. Response required
I couldn't find any information about the price. The Lytro Camera costs ~400€. Since it is still in development maybe it will not be clear when and where the camera will be sold.
Damn. Its costly.
Thanks for the response tho. Love your blog
