I quite understand your predicament. Though choices, though you could (IMHO) eliminate Brunei quite easily because it is a boring place to visit.

Bali is a lovely place to visit. I went there about ten years ago. Try Malaysia, you will never regret, especially if you are a foodie. Vietnam is a nice place to visit also but I didn't like their food choices.
