Hello Wednesday walkers!
There are places around our environment that we have not been aware of. so today i am going to show us what i discovered that had been in my environment without my awareness.
On Wednesday, i took a walk around my environment to see what had been happening in my environment. so i visited a farm located in my street. I have not been to this farm before since it a new farm in my environment. I have been told by my friend that there is a new farm in our street. the funny part is that non of us have been to the farm. I was so interested to see what was actually going on in the farm.
When i get to the farm i discovered that there are many farm work done in the farm yard.

Fluted Pumpkin garden
This is fluted Pumpkin (Ikong-ubong) garden in our native dialect. it is well staked. the leave is used to prepare one of the African vegetable soup (edikang-ikong).

Plantain plantation
This plantation is done around fish pun in this farm. People do come to buy in bunches from the farmer.

this other parts of the farm are fruit plants such as pineapple, pawpaw and cucumber.

This is the poultry section in the farm. they have large quantity of matured broilers. This chickens here have been raised in this farm for about eleven weeks.

Palm Fruits
There are palm fruits plantation in this farm. so i visited where the kept some of the harvested palm fruits and take a shot.

Wow, they also raised pig in this farm. What interested me to look at pig was cleanliness of the pig. they really take time to wash the pig house and always keep it clean so the pig look so fresh and nice looking.

Fish Pond
The last part of the farm i visited was the fish pond. The fish were jumping up once food is drop in the pond. it was so interesting watching them as they drag their food.
I was so excited visiting this farm and i hope to go there some other time with my wife and my children.
I hope you know what I'm thinking next i will be visiting the farm, as i left the farm without buying anything, when visited with my wife i can't return without buying either the chicken or the fish. hope to give you the update when next i visit the farm.
