A 2D lipid aggregate formation video!

in #steemstem5 years ago (edited)

This is a 2-dimensional toy problem I ran today. You can guess here hydrophobic(water-hating) green(the cyan particles are the solvent particles) particles hiding in 2D micelles and bilayer structures etc.

this posts needs an epileptic seizure warning :P @regularowl cookie votes

Is it so? I am so sorry. Should I put the warning?

Nah it is fine was meant as a joke :P

The owls were called by @mathowl

You are a pretty slow bird

You can definitely kill people by forcing them to watch this for a few hours ;-)

Nevertheless, a guess you programmed this simulation by yourself, right?

What exactly is the output of this simulation? Which problem is solved?

This is just a toy problem. Sorry for the killer effect? This toy problem tries to model lipid bilayers and micelles but in 2D instead of 3D.
