So I will explain how to convert your SBD to INR (indian rupee). I will not say this is the best way. But this is a quick and easy method I just tested. So if you are into cryptocurrencies and you are from India, you might have already come across koinex or Zebpay etc. These are the popular Indian crypto-exchanges. So I am assuming you have account in koinex. If not create one from below link (its a referral link, you and I get Rs 50 for joining via this link):
Don't forget to activate the account by giving proper details and ID details etc. If you are ready with your koinex account, we can begin. Go to your steemit wallet page:
If you have claimed the author rewards, you might see your balance here (https://steemit.com/@your_username/transfers). Look in the STEEM DOLLARS row:
Now click the SELL option as shown below:
You will be directed to this page : https://blocktrades.us/unregistered_trade/sbd/btc
So now what I am going to do is convert your STEEM DOLLAR to ETHEREUM (or your favourite COIN. In koinex you have BTC, ETHER, RIPPLE, BCH and LTC. So you get corresponding wallet addresses.) and then trade this at koinex.in to INR. So login to koinex.in, go to your balances:
Click on the DEPOSIT button corresponding to ETHER, since I want to copy my ether wallet address. You will see something like below:
Copy the hexadecimal address. Go to blocktades page again. Type your SBD amount to withdraw and coin (change the coin to ETHER here from default BTC) to which you need to convert.
Give the wallet address in the space provided. Click the "Get Deposit address".
Now give your steemit userid in the steemconnect section:
In my case that would be dexterdev. Click "transfer using steemconnect". Then it will ask for steemit userid and password. If you type those details. Type your SBD amount to be converted to ether and deposited to koinex wallet. The traction will take some time delay because ETHEREUM block chain network is overloaded these days. Once the transaction is done, you will see as below in blocktrades webpage corresponding to your account :
And koinex will give you notification like below:
Now you can trade this to INR from koinex. You can sell when the price goes up. :)
