The featured cards are Pikachu ex, Espeon ex, Umbreon ex. There are other cards too.

Cherubi & Cherrim

Both Cherubi and Cherrim are not very good. Cherrim's energy acceleration attack in Energy Gift is good for energy acceleration and that's it.

Zeraora

This version of Zeraora is not as good as past Zeraora cards. Quick Draw can be good sometimes and the Electrobullet attack is not too threatening.

Zorua & Zoroark

Zorua is not a great attacker but it is needed for Zoroark.

This Zoroark card is not a great attacker. The Night Escape Route ability only works while this Zoroark is on the Bench. Your Active Pokemon's Retreat Cost is two colourless less. Use Air Balloon or Switch instead of this.

Victini

Even though Victini's Call For Family attack is good for setup, the V-Flame attack is not very good.

Eevee Cards

As an attacker, Eevee is not very good. You do need it for Sylveon ex, Espeon ex, Umbreon ex or any of its Eeveelutions.

Espeon ex Cards

Espeon ex as an attacker seems okay. Solar Beatdown requires one Psychic Energy and one of any Energy to deal 30 damage for each of your Pokemon in play. This is a minimum of 30 damage.

If you have six Pokemon (Active + 5 Benched), then this Espeon ex does 180 damage. With Area Zero Underdepths in play, you can have up to 8 Benched Pokemon provided you have a Tera Pokemon in play. This raises the maximum damage for Espeon ex to 270 damage.

Add Lillie's Clefairy ex in play to deal double damage to the ever popular Dragapult ex.

The illustration art Espeon ex card is very colourful. It has the 30 number to celebrate the 30th anniversary.

Umbreon ex Cards

Umbreon's Lunatic Claw for 1 Dark Energy and 1 Colourless Energy deals 100 base damage. If the opponent's Active Pokemon already has damage counters on it, then this attack does 140 more damage or 240 damage. The firepower on this Umbreon ex is okay. This is more for two hitting Stage 2 Pokemon with 300 HP or more.

The illustration rare of Umbreon ex is very nice too. People generally favour Umbreon over Espeon. This may be the number 1 sought after card from the collection sets.

Pikachu ex with Pika Pika Parade

Here is a new version of Pikachu ex. It is in a futuristic artwork.

The Pika-Pika Parade attack for 1 Colourless Energy is like the ACE SPEC Precious Trolley card. You search your deck for any number of Basic Pokemon and put them onto your Bench. (Shuffle deck after.) Putting this Pikachu as a 2 Prize target is risky compared to just running Precious Trolley.

Thunderbolt is not a great attack. Two Lightning and one Energy to deal 200 damage with the big drawback of discarding all Energy.

Pikachu ex With Zip Zap Frenzy

There is a second Pikachu ex. This one has a darker background.

Zip-Zap Frenzy is the first attack for 1 Lightning Energy. You may attach any number of Basic Energy cards from your hand to your Pokemon in any way you like. This is really big energy acceleration but you do risk a two Prize Pokemon.

Thunder requires 2 Lightning Energy and 1 Colourless Energy to deal 200 damage. This Pikachu ex does suffer recoil damage of 30 to itself.

Notes

There are some really cool cards for players and for collectors. In a previous post, I talk about the 30th anniversary set cards. These cards from the collector boxes will be sought after as well. There will be chaos.

Which of these cards appeal to you? Do you like these futuristic Pikachu ex cards?

Thank you for reading.
